A little about Yoan Castagnoli

Biography taken from Sport-études Ski d’Annecy: I competed in alpine skiing for 6 years and eventually took the French sports instructor’s certificate in alpine skiing, which I passed in the 2012/2013 season. By the age of 10 I was already running in the fields with small paragliders made by my dad.. then I really got into flying at 14 and have been hooked ever since. It was later, at the age of 20, that I joined the acro paragliding world circuit and at 23 that I joined the French national team. I studied for the French national certificate at the same time, which I passed in 2010. With these two sports, which have nearly always been a part of my life, it was only natural for me to turn to speed riding as soon as the sport was created, at the behest of riders like Antoine Montant, Frank Coupat, David Eyraud and Fred Fugen. These people really helped me in my career and are largely responsible for making me the person I am today. I immediately started on the speed riding competition circuit which fitted in perfectly with the summer acro competitions and continued competing until last year.
